New Boat Update

Okay, so for the last few trips I have been paddling a borrowed Jackson 4 Fun. It is a classic, not the new style. I have been loving it! It makes all of my old runs that were starting to get a little dull, new again! I borrowed it off my friend Mac, and after the first two paddles I wrote her a note asked her to sell it to me. She declined, which I am not at all surprised by! I paddled it again and was still thrilled with it. I mentioned to Ashley how much I liked it and told her that I was thinking of getting rid of the Pyranha Ammo, that I had been paddling for the last year. She was not at all surprised! I was!! She seemed cool with it and so I started looking around for one.

Thomas, a member of the paddling club, had posted that he was considering selling his. I sent him an email and asked for the year and some pics. He replied and it was exactly what I was looking for! It was a little more than I was wanting to spend, at $450, but it looked good and was not damaged, so I went ahead and bought it! It is an '05 and is lime green! I took it out last night and went for a float down the Upper Green. It was perfect! I have put in a call to a buddy of mine, that has been out of the sport for about a year and made him an unbelievable offer on the Ammo. He is going to try paddling it on Sunday on the Chattooga. We are going to paddle Earl's to Sandy and see what he thinks. If he buys it, I will be just about back to even on the swap!

Future: I am planning to buy a full out creek boat in the spring of '11. I am going to try paddling a Jackson Villian and a Liquid Logic Jefe. Then, after careful consideration, I plan to purchase one of them to start creeking in the fall. I figure if I made it this far in my paddling career the use of a play boat for a year will have me just about ready for creeking! So heres to the next year of spins and enders!
